Since we have only one introductory class for computer programming taught in English in this semester, all the GIGA students are expected to take `Logical Thinking by Programming' in the 4th and 5th lecture on Monday.
If you want to take another class of `Logical Thinking by Programming' (assuming that you can speak Japanese), you need to register in advance because students are divided into several classes before the class starts. See Japanese page for detail.
If you have already learnt basic programming skill, you can take `Programming with Script Languages'. See its syllabus for detail.
Programming courses that are designated as compulsory have the following prerequisite:
You can take IT qualification exam at the begining of each semester. It consisits of typing exam and knowledge exam. Since the knowledge exam is based on the older curriculum, and only in Japanese, we would like you to pass `Fundamentals of Information Technology' to satisfy the prerequisite.
In the class of `Fundamentals of Information Technology', you must pass the typing exam as well. If you fail the typing exam, but come up to the standard for other assignments, you can take a typing exam at the beginning of next semester to satisfy the prerequisite.
Keio University recruits Teaching Assistants and Student Assistants. Please consider applying in the fall semester.
